Fr. Nolan telling it like it is. When I saw this I was reminded of the appendix to Thomas Walsh’s excellent account of the apparitions of Fatima, ‘Our Lady of Fatima,’ wherein he records a personal interview he had with Sr. Lucy. At one point in the conversation Mr. Walsh asks Sr. Lucy ‘Will the whole world go communist?,’ and her unqualified reply is ‘Yes.’ The starkness and certitude of her response jumps off the page. From the vantage point that Heaven had granted her, she could see that it was essentially a fait accompli. The mechanisms of the worldwide collapse at the time she said this were perhaps not readily apparent to the average person, but the plan to subvert the old world order, Christendom, and supplant it with the new, was well under way. The late 19th and early 20th century popes were well aware of the danger that was on the horizon and tried, with little effect, to warn the world and the Church to beware. St. Pius X exposed the modernists and their immanentist philosophical principles that ultimately lead to moral relativism and atheism. Pius XI trounced the communist system in Divini Redemptoris. Earlier in the late 19th century Pope Gregory XVI sounded the alarm regarding the erosive effects of the libertine principles of the Freemasons on the social fabric. Truly the two systems work together. Freemasonry with its liberalism subverts the social fabric by making man a god unto himself. It fans the emotional flames by promoting an egalitarianism that in the real order of things does not exist which sets the stage for the perpetual class warfare promoted by the communists. The psycho commies at the top promote the warfare, fan it’s flames through the media establishment, and then through the mechanism of the state, come in feigning to be the savior of the social order by bringing some order out of chaos by the use of force and draconian measures. The communists at the top of the pile are actually elitists who look upon the rest of humanity as useless eaters, there is no equality in their system. They deem many should die to thin the heard, and rest have their rights stripped and effectively live in a societal prison. It is fundamentally a system based in fear and selfishness. Their minds are weak and their souls lack courage so they amass power over others to make them feel significant.
The cultural revolution that the west underwent in the 20th century did not come out of nowhere. The touchstone of the breakdown of the west can really be pinpointed at the protestant rebellion of the 16th century, but really begins before. The Christian west had grown tired, lazy, apathetic. When Luther nailed his thesis (if that actually happened), it is likely he had no idea that he was sowing the seeds of the unraveling of the Christian order…the greatest civilization and most stabilizing system the world has ever known. Effectively what would later be set down in Marx’s Manifesto, the principles of class struggle, ensued in the 16th century without a philosophical book as its foundation. A war of the people against the establishment, against the wealth of the Church and its monasteries ensued. After the upheaval, the sick and indigent were in the streets as the mobs, blinded by their envy and their pride, did not recognize the work that the Church did. At the state level, Kings recognized the monetary and political advantage of going along with the revolt as it filled their treasuries and enlarged their territories. Rolling up to the 18th century, the Freemasons establish their secret society with large plans to establish a global order based on effectively the same principles. Their operation worked behind the scenes to create chaos to overthrow the centuries old monarchical structure of Europe. The bloodbath of the French Revolution, and yes, the questionable necessity of the American Revolution, were all fomented by these forces. It is not likely that the average American colonist gave a hoot about taxes and lack of representation. The wealthy elite of the day, although I do regard them as brilliant men in many regards, fomented the discontent that brought the revolution to its successful conclusion. England, having rebelled against God and His Church, perhaps in divine consequence, lost its grip on its colonies.
Jumping ahead to 20th Century America, the communist forces recognized they could not win a hot war with the United States, (the United States being a few paces ahead with satanic atomic weaponry), they tactfully decided erode our country from within. Seeing that America has always been replete with libertine principles, having never been wholly Catholic like the rest of the west and therefore far less inoculated against the errors of communism, was rapidly subverted over a few decades. It certainly was helpful that the hierarchy of the Catholic Church was corrupted as well and has been limping along ever since the disastrous Second Vatican Council. Here is the communist playbook for the US as penned by Lenin in 1921:
“Corrupt the young, get them away from religion. Get them interested in sex. Make them superficial, destroy their ruggedness. Get control of all means of publicity and thereby: Get the peoples’ mind off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexual books and plays, and other trivialities. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance. Destroy the people’s faith in their natural leaders by holding up the latter to ridicule, contempt and obloquy. Always preach true democracy but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible. Encourage government extravagance, destroy its credit, produce fear with rising prices, inflation and general discontent. Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders and foster a soft and lenient attitude on the part of government towards such disorders. By specious argument cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues: honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with the view of confiscating them and leaving the population defenseless.” ~Vladimir Lenin 1921.
Sound familiar? The only remedy at this point, which I suppose is the only remedy at any point and would likely prevent the societal crisis’s that rear up over the course of history, is prayer and penance while resisting the tyranny until the end.
